Description
The Triebaumer Furmint is a wonderful example of the grape, showing plenty of pear, red apple and citrus fruit with hints of quince an spice on the crisp, fresh finish. Matured on the lees for a little added texture, this accomplished wine makes a wonderful match to Thai dishes yet is light enough to enjoy on it’s own as an aperitif.
The Triebaumer family have lived in Rust for over 300 years and have long been associated with wine production in this part of Austria. They have followed the regulations ofr Organic certification since 1971 and do not use any synthetic persticides/herbicides on their vineyards. Gunter & Regina Triebaumer stopped short of official certification due to the prohibitive costs.
