Description
The Castlewood Devon Rose is a blend of Pinot Noir and bacchus grown at 40m above sea level. Very pretty in the glass, it shows of tropical fruits and ruby grapefruit on the nose. The palate is beautifully balanced by bright notes of peach and citrus, developing through to a creamy refreshing finish. Primary fermentation commenced in both stainless steel tanks and oak barrels, with a further 11 months of cellar ageing giving roundness and bright fruity complexity to develop whilst retaining fresh acidity and a crisp dry finish. The wine is bottled by gravity having had no fining or filtration to give a true reflection of the Devon terroir.
