Description
The Rioja Blanco Fermentado en Barrica from the amazing Bodegas Martinez Lacuesta is a pale greenish yellow colour with a touch of toasted oak over mellow fresh fruit on the nose. In the mouth, it is initially fresh, with the well integrated oak building in prominence in the mid-palate. The floral fruit character carries through to the well-balanced finish.
This terrific white Rioja is made with Viura grapes that are barrel fermented and lees aged for three months in a mixture of American and French oak as well as acacia wood.
