Description
The grapes for this terrific expression of Meursault come from a relatively high altitude south-east facing vineyard in the section of the appellacion which adjoins Puligny Montrachet in the south. The soils here are shallow and very stony, producing a wine which is beautifully floral on the nose with expressive white flowers. The palate is initially rich and generous with a beautiful mouth feel which leads to a more mineral, flinty finish with great tension. Truly delicious and a wine to enjoy now or keep up to 5 years from vintage.
The Parcellaires de Saulx was created in 2017 in Meursault on the site of an historic property. They work with the finest growers throughout Burgundy to select the very best grapes possible which they vinify and age in their 1500 square metres of cellars. The idea is to produce the truest expression of terroir possible and work predominantly with growers who take an organic and biodynamic approach to vineyard management. The results are a truly stunning string of releases of micro-parcels. Extremely limited but well worth snapping up whilst you can!

The intense bouquet of flowers and lychee follow through to the generous palate that manages to be powerful and fruit-forward whilst retaining freshness and zip with long lasting acidity.

2019 Bordeaux Blanc Sec, Chateau Saransot-Dupre
Semillon/Sauvignon
Chateau Saransot-Dupre is a favourably sited 17 hectares property that lies between Fourcas Dupré and Fourcas Hosten in Listrac. Due to Listrac’s cooler temperatures, Merlot and Cabernet Franc are favoured over Cabernet Sauvignon to form the majority of the blend, helping them achieve optimum ripeness. Much like Chateau Fourcas Hosten, the wines have improved year on year since 2010 and the property were put on the radar thanks to a certain Robert Parker hailing the 2010 vintage as 'classed growth quality'. High praise indeed!

2022 Scheid District 7 Chardonnay, Monterey, California
Chardonnay
Superb value, the Scheid District 7 Chardonnay comes from a vineyard at Greenfeld where the morning fog lingers to protect the vines from the heat of the sun. The aromas are fresh and extroverted with notes of yellow apple, pear and citrus, enhanced by hints of coconut, vanilla and toasty oak. The medium-bodied palate is soft and balanced with bright fruit, hints of butter and a lingering subtle oak finish.
