Description

The Luzada Albarino is a lovely straw-yellow colour, with the nose picking up a medium-high intensity, fresh and herbaceous character, fruity, apple, pear and citrus (grapefruit, lime). On the palate it is fresh with good acidity, citrus, green apple and floral notes.

Our Luzada Albarino is made by Paco & Lola, a young, modern winery committed to a fresh way of making and experiencing wine. Known around the world for its sophisticatedly fun image, Paco & Lola is the polka-dot wine. With a youg team behind their wine they believe in sustainable production and great marketing ideas. This vineyard really is the perfect blend between tradition and innovation.

2024 Verdicchio di Matelica, ColleStefano

Verdicchio

Castelli di Jesi tends to hog the limelight when it comes to Verdicchio but we feel that the wines from Matelica tend to have a slight edge in terms of interest and complexity.  ColleStefano is a wonderful organic property nestled among its private vineyards above Castelraimondo.  The altitude (450m above sea level) provides protection from the sea winds and makes for a temperate climate. Their immaculate vineyards are part of a broader self-sustainable, eco-friendly and balanced system, with the soils only treated with organic manure, thus minimizing the presence of copper.

The Cotes Du Rhone Blanc from Domaine Grand Veneur is a superb value white. It is a blend of Roussanne, Grenache Blanc, Viognier and Clairette and been a regular feature of our list for several vintages thanks to it's wonderful balance of delicate floral aromatics, peach and stone fruit flavours and balanced fresh acidity.
