Description
The Itatino Cinsault is a delicious, vibrant red which reflects the granite soils of Itata in the glass. Intense and concentrated with bright cherry fruit and wonderful freshness on the palate. The finish is stony, fresh and thirst quenching, begging you to go back for another glass. This wine is delicious in it’s youth but should age gracefully for several years from vintage, gaining in complexity as it does so.
Sourced from 40-year-old bush vines in the Itata vineyard which is located 20 km from the Pacific Ocean in a straight line, at an altitude of 300 metres above sea level. The soil here is composed of granite, with large amounts of quartz stones with different degrees of fragmentation. It is deep and permeable, which allows good root growth. 10 day cold soak at 8°C. Fermentation in concrete oval casks to maintain the freshness, nerve and energy of the wine, as well as the expression of the variety and the ‘terroir’.

2020 Chateau Saransot-Dupre, Listrac Medoc, Magnum
Bordeaux Blend
Chateau Saransot-Dupre is a favourably sited 17 hectares property that lies between Fourcas Dupré and Fourcas Hosten in Listrac. Due to Listrac’s cooler temperatures, Merlot and Cabernet Franc are favoured over Cabernet Sauvignon to form the majority of the blend, helping them achieve optimum ripeness. Much like Chateau Fourcas Hosten, the wines have improved year on year since 2010 and the property were put on the radar thanks to a certain Robert Parker hailing the 2010 vintage as 'classed growth quality'. High praise indeed!

2022 Gonzo Combat Rouge, Vandal Wine Company
Red Blend
The Gonzo Combat Rouge is a rather unusual field blend of Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc and Viognier which are co-fermented with whole bunch fermentation. The results is a beautifully supple yet plush and ripe red wine with sweet, spicy raspberry and cherry fruit. We've found it drinks best slightly chilled on a warm evening.

The 2011 vintage had a hard act to follow coming after two exceptional years in Bordeaux and whilst the wines aren't as showy as the '09's and '10's they are charming and drinking beautifully with a decade in bottle.
