Description

The Seven of Hearts Special Reserve Pinot Noir is a blend which highlights the highly diverse characteristics from several distinct sections of the Pinot Noir vineyard at Yamhill Carlton. The intention being to make as layered, complete and complex Pinot as possible.  The 2019 is the first release since 2015 and with a tiny production of only 49 cases we are very lucky to have been able to get our hands on some.  One quarter of the wine goes in to new French oak with the remainder seeing a mixture second, third and fourth fill oak for balance.  Fruit, spice and texture are all in perfect harmony in this wonderfully expressive Oregon Pinot Noir.  Grab it while you can!

Cabernet Sauvignon

The Cabernet/Shiraz from Hartenberg has a lovely vivid purple/red colour, with ripe berry fruits on the nose and hints of forest floor entwined with sweet spice. The palate reveals plenty of vibrant red fruit courtesy of the Cabernet Sauvignon alongside typical black pepper spice from the Shiraz.  There's plenty of juicy, crunchy fruit, soft gentle tannins and a velvety, elegant finish.

2020 Chateau Saransot Dupre, Cru Bourgeois Superieurlistrac

Bordeaux Blend

Chateau Saransot-Dupre is a favourably sited 17 hectares property that lies between Fourcas Dupré and Fourcas Hosten in Listrac.  Due to Listrac’s cooler temperatures, Merlot and Cabernet Franc are favoured over Cabernet Sauvignon to form the majority of the blend, helping them achieve optimum ripeness.  Much like Chateau Fourcas Hosten, the wines have improved year on year since 2010 and the property were put on the radar thanks to a certain Robert Parker hailing the 2010 vintage as 'classed growth quality'.  High praise indeed!
