Description
This beautifully mature red wine from Mallorca has a lovely deep cherry red colour. The nose shows a beautiful balance of complex red fruits and minerals, leading to a nicely rounded palate that is elegant and textured. The finish is long with well-balanced acidity.
The Expression Ull de Llebre comes from the best vineyards of the Serra de Tramuntana. Organic strains selected one by one to ensure it expresses its varietal balance and the native soil of an area covering two hectares. Patiently made; the grapes are destemmed and barely crushed, fermented at low temperatures for a minimum of 30 days in stainless steel vats and kept in their lees without additives for five months, and then gently filtered and bottled.

The Un Bon Canon Cotes du Rhone hits the spot every time with it's fruit forward blend of 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 5% Cinsault and 5% Mouvedre which is fermented in concrete tanks. The vineyards lie in the southern part of the region on a dried up river bed strewn with heat retaining pebbles. The hot summer sun ensures that the wine is bold and fruity with raspberry and dark fruits and hints of garrigue/herbal undergrowth.

This 100% Gamay from Domaine Moulin Camus comes from grapes grown on a slope of pure mica schist which gives the wine juicy, rounded red fruits a bit of tautness and minerality. A warmer than normal, sulphur free maceration for three days helps bring out some warmth and roundness to the fruit, making it slightly beaujolais'esque but without the bubble gum/commercial edge that one would normally find in this price range.
