Description

The Corbieres Tradition from Domaine de  Fontsainte, is a ruby-red colour, bold, deep purple highlights with generous, black fruit, cocoa and  black pepper aromas. Immediate and generous, the nose opens with notes of fresh red fruits such as bigarreau cherries and black fruits such as blueberries. On the palate it is round and concentrated from the start. This wine develops a balanced structure in the mouth, present but delicate tannins and a tasty acidity.

The Domaine de Fontsainte is at the heart of the famous Corbières Golden Crescent, one of the most beautiful and beneficial terroirs of the appellation. With its south, south-east orientation and intense sunshine, the semi-hillside vineyard of Fontsainte shelters from the cold northwest winds.

2020 Chateau Saransot-Dupre, Listrac Medoc, Magnum

Bordeaux Blend

Chateau Saransot-Dupre is a favourably sited 17 hectares property that lies between Fourcas Dupré and Fourcas Hosten in Listrac.  Due to Listrac’s cooler temperatures, Merlot and Cabernet Franc are favoured over Cabernet Sauvignon to form the majority of the blend, helping them achieve optimum ripeness.  Much like Chateau Fourcas Hosten, the wines have improved year on year since 2010 and the property were put on the radar thanks to a certain Robert Parker hailing the 2010 vintage as 'classed growth quality'.  High praise indeed!
