Description
The Bramare Malbec Valle De Uco from Vina Cobos reveals red fruit, cassis and smoke on the nose. Luscious plum, blackberry and mocha on the palate with hints of oak and leather. The high altitude of the vineyard site ensures fresh and ample acidity to make this a great partner for food, especially meat. It is smooth and complex with elegant tannins.
Vina Cobos was established in 1999 by Californian winemaker Paul Hobbs and strives to produce authentic wines which express the varied terroir in which they are grown. This elegant Malbec comes from sites between 3330 and 3845 feet above sea level in the foothills of the Andes. Steep slopes and varied soils aid drainage, whilst the altitude helps the grapes reach optimum ripeness and balance during a long ripening season. 18 months in a mixture of 30% new French and American oak, 70% older barrels adds structure and complexity.
