Description

Chateau Angludet didn’t make a Grand Vin in 2017 and the fruit that would usually grace it’s top effort found it’s way into their second wine.  Supple and elegant, with silky fruit and fine tannins, this is a wonderful early drinking claret that represents excellent value.

2018 Brunello di Montalcino Pieve Santa Restituta, Gaja, DOCG

Sangiovese

Gaja's Brunello di Montalcino shows notes of juniper berries, liquorice and sweet wood on the nose. It has a very clear expression of sweet and ripe fruit, opening on the palate, with notes of spice and earthy aromatic herbs. This wine has remarkable texture, mouth-filling fruit and a very good length.

Cabernet Franc

Lively, ruby-red in colour, this wine has a fruity nose with prevailing aromas of red and black fruits. The palate is supple and rich.  There's enough acidity and freshness to make this a good match to cooked pork dishes and white meats in general as well as roasts and a simple cheeseboard.  Delicious when chilled down a few degrees below room temperature

Pinot Noir

The Bourgogne Pinot Noir Epineuil from Domaine Fournillon is a beautifully fresh Pinot with bright, red fruit flavours and supple tannins. This delightful red wine comes from parcels of vines in the village of Epineuil, with the majority of Pinot Noir grapes are harvested mechanically for efficiency so they can be transported to the estate for maceration in stainless steel tank for a period of 2 weeks, with regular punch downs. After separating the skins from the juice it is aged in stainless steel tanks for a minimum of 15 months.
