Description
The 2011 vintage had a hard act to follow coming after two exceptional years in Bordeaux and whilst the wines aren’t as showy as the ’09’s and ’10’s they are charming and drinking beautifully with a decade in bottle.
Medium weight with a rich yet subtle and fresh nose with hints of spices, almonds and berries on the nose. The mid-weight palate is well balanced and structured with balck fruits and hints of liquorice.

Red Blend
The Gonzo Combat Rouge is a rather unusual field blend of Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc and Viognier which are co-fermented with whole bunch fermentation. The results is a beautifully supple yet plush and ripe red wine with sweet, spicy raspberry and cherry fruit. We've found it drinks best slightly chilled on a warm evening.
