2018 Solita Nebbiolo, Chris Ringland, Barossa
Nebbiolo
The Solita Nebbiolo is made from the oldest Nebbiolo vines in South Australia, planted on North East facing slopes. This age-worthy red wine displays the typical characteristics of the grape one would find in Piedmont, yet it wears an Aussie overcoat. Silky and scented with rose petal, sour cherry and floral notes, the palate shows impeccable balance with beautifully integrated alcohol and silky yet drying tannins. Delicious after a decent decant, this terrific example of Nebbiolo from one of the very best Barossa producers will reward careful ageing and the wine should happily evolve for decades to come.

2020 Barbaresco, Produttori del Barbaresco, DOCG
Nebbiolo
Barbaresco DOCG is produced every year from the 100 hectares of vineyards controlled by the Produttori within the appellation, mainly in the Barbaresco village itself. In the best vintages, when the quality of the grapes is great everywhere, the historical crus are vinified separately and Barbaresco is then produced with the grapes from the remaining vineyards.

2020 Barolo Buon Padre, Viberti, DOCG
Nebbiolo
The Viberti Buon Padre is a blend of 10 Barolo Cru's that are fermented and partially aged seperately before being blended and aged again in truncated conical vats of untoasted French oak for 3 years prior to bottling. Each cru is selected to provide the perfect balance of fruit, structure and longevity to make a classic Barolo. The result is a Barolo that expresses vibrant acidity, aromatic breadth and refined tannin. As Claudio Viberti says, "Buon Padre is not just a wine, it is the bond with our family and our land".

2022 Nebbiolo d’Alba Superiore Sterma, La Bioca, DOCG
Nebbiolo
The Nebbiolo d'Alba Superiore Sterma comes from a single vineyard that just missed out on being classified as Barolo in the original classification as it was deemed too cool. The wine is therefore terrific value, giving the character of Barolo for a fraction of the price.

2023 Uovo Cabernet/Nebbiolo, Larry Cherubino, Frankland River
Red Blend
Here's something you don't come across everyday...a Nebbiolo/Cabernet blend that is fermented and aged in concrete egg. The choice of fermentation vessel aids circulation during teh ferment which imparts depth, volume and texture to the resultant wine. This fabulous wine not only has a cool, egg-shaped label, but drinks beautifully - showing bright acidity and a lovely balance between sweet blackcurrant fruit and something altogether more savoury and herbal. The finish is clean and multi-layered.
