Description

New to the UK this terrific Bourbon is secondarily aged in freshly toasted White Oak barrels, and bottled at 100 proof without Chill Filtration. This secondary ageing in toasted barrels boosts the vanilla and rich notes of bourbon, adding complexity and depth.

Bluegrass distillers was established in 2012 in Lexington, Kentucky and quickly their operation outgrew their premises. They have recenly broken ground on a new site in Midway, Kentucky – Elkwood Farm, allowing them to concentrate on a full corn-to-bottle approach by growing their own corn right on site.  Luckily for us they are expanding their production capacity and pushing the boundaries of what exceptional bourbon can be.

An outstanding bourbon from Kentucky Distillers. Handmade in very small batches and aged in charred oak barrels, this has a very smooth, rounded character with lovely spicy, fruity flavours.

The nose is light and bright, with notes of old oak, spice, and orange zest. The palate is fairly dry with some herbal notes, leading to a creamy, caramel tinged finish.

This Cherry Eau de vie is from one of the most respected distillers in France. Beautiful purity of fruit and being aged in glass demijohns for three to four years allows the alcohol to mellow and fully integrate with the fruit.
