Description

The Il Follo winery is situated at the foothill of the famous Cartizze, in the area of Valdobbiadene.

The colour is pale yellow with emerald highlights, leading to an elegant, light bodied palate tinged with a bit residual sugar (15g/l).  On the nose there are hints of pear, apple, wild flowers and citrus fruits. The elegant palate shows fresh grapes and pear characters which are offset by slight almond nuances and soft fruit flavours of white peach and pear that carry onto a crisp, fresh palate.

Chardonnay

This is a wonderfully elegant and refined Franciacorta made with 100% Chardonnay.  The palate is soft and creamy, showing peach, apricot and exotic candied fruits alongside perfectly poised acidity and a refreshingly tangy finish.  This wonderful Franciacorta underwent secondary fermentation in bottle (as per Champagne) and was aged on its lees for 24 months prior to disgorging, and then for a further 2 months in bottle prior to release.
