Description
The Heirloom White is yet another truly delicious South African blend based on Chenin Blanc. We are massive fans of these wines here at DWC and would love everyone to get behind them. 45% Chenin Blanc, 40% Grenache Blanc and 15% Viognier, this complex wine shows dried tropical fruits, fresh stone fruit and citrus notes on the the palate. The richly textured mouthfeel integrates elegant oak and lifting acidity through to the long lingering finish.
Nestled in the Citrusdal Mountains, some 50 km north of Swartland, is the magnificent Piekenierskloof plateau, the area provides the perfect environment for vine cultivation, and is home to the eponymously named Piekenierskloof Wine Company.

Riesling
The Hanewald-Schwerdt Riesling Sekt Trocken has a steely lemon tinged nose with red apple and peach underpinned by zesty lime acidity, resulting in a lovely refreshing style. This is by no means bone dry though, and with 23grams of residual sugar this a fruitier style that is a great alternative to Prosecco for those looking for something a little different.
