Description

Described by Gaelle Meunier as a ‘Petit Puligny’, the Les Parties is a delectable white burgundy that balances richness and depth with freshness and elegance.  The majority of the vines lie within Puligny itself and 50% of the wine is oaked, 30% of which is new, with the remainder fermented and raised in stainless steel.  Elegance and precision best describe this delightful wine.

Gaelle and Jerome Meunier own 15 hectares of vines spread over the Cote Chalonnaise and Cote de Beaune.  Operations here are very hands on and personal which is reflected in the chracterful, down to earth and approachable wines that the Domaine produce under their own label.  Sadly quantities are limited and there is never enough wine to satisfy demand, no matter how large the vintage.

2024 Puligny Montrachet ‘Les Boudrieres’, Domaine Belleville

Chardonnay

The 'Les Boudrieres' Puligny Montrachet is wonderfully elegant and precise, showing great depth and complexity from the old vines situated on the clay/limestone terroirs.  This terrific wine has an expressive bouquet of hawthorn and hazlenut intermingled with green apple and ripe citrus fruit notes, which lead to butter and croissant as the wine opens up.  The complex palate is impeccably balanced with well-integrated oak from 16 months in barrel.  The classy finish is long and elegant.  Enjoy this superb wine for up to 8 years from vintage.

Jadot Cote Dor Burgundy.JPG

2022 Bourgogne Rouge Cote d’Or, Louis Jadot, AC Cote d’Or

Pinot Noir

The Cote d'Or AC is the newest appellation in Burgundy and this tremendous Pinot Noir from Jadot is just delicious.  Concentrated with silky red and dark fruits, good structure and a savoury note to the finish.  This isn't too juicy and a great food wine, especially with grilled or roasted red meats and a variety of cheeses.
