“Follow The Line is a stellar Cinsault that transcends the limits of the variety. Sourced from a parcel of 43-year-old dry-farmed vines on decomposed granite soils, it has 6% co-fermented Syrah for added complexity, rose petal and Turkish Delight aromas and a focused, pithy, Atlantic-influenced palate of plum and wild strawberry. The Mason Road GSM is a cracking value red blend of Grenache, Syrah, Mouvedre and Cinsault. This lovely wine shows layers of ripe bramble fruit along with cherry, blackcurrant and plum notes mingling with smoky notes from the oak. Silky, realy well-knit and almost dangerously drinkable.

Red Blend
The 2024 Secateurs Red Blend by AA Badenhorst has to be amongst the best he's made. Adi bought a neighbouring farm that he used to buy grapes from but now has pick of the crop for himself. There's a hgher proportion of Cabernet in this release than usual, adding more cassis and dark fruit flavours to the mineral tinged spice of the Shiraz. Fuller than normal too, but by no means less approachable, with juicy tannins and terrific balance.
