Description
The Senia Nero d’Avola is a luscious, rich and concentrated red that manages to pack a punch yet retain freshness and vitality. Concentrated dark fruits and spice mingle with eucalyptus notes and balanced acidity to give a hugely enjoyable red wine. Made with the Follature Manuale method of manual stirring in open top fermenters (barrels) twice a day providing balance and structure without being too weighty.
The vision at at Agricola Cortese is to produce wine in the most traditional and natural way possible so that it reflects the true character of the estate’s terroir and its grape varieties. Experimentation with ancient wine-making techniques such as fermentation in terracotta, alonside utilising modern technology and traditional techniques allows Cortese to extract every nuance of their terroir in their wines.

The Bourgogne Pinot Noir Epineuil from Domaine Fournillon is a beautifully fresh Pinot with bright, red fruit flavours and supple tannins. This delightful red wine comes from parcels of vines in the village of Epineuil, with the majority of Pinot Noir grapes are harvested mechanically for efficiency so they can be transported to the estate for maceration in stainless steel tank for a period of 2 weeks, with regular punch downs. After separating the skins from the juice it is aged in stainless steel tanks for a minimum of 15 months.
