Description
The Lanzerac Chardonnay reveals an excellent balance between fruit, acidity and softness with beautiful oak integration and balance of acidity. This terrific Chardonnay offers a lot of bang for your buck, especially given the amount of work that goes into it.
With a history dating back to 1692 Lanzerac is one of oldest wine farms in South Africa and is home to the first bottled Pinotage.
The grapes for this wine were handpicked and hand sorted with 70% fermented in a mixture 2nd, 3rd and 4th fill barrels and 30% in stainless steel tanks. Each vineyard block used for the Lanzerac Chardonnay is treated differently with different yeast and fermentation regimes, depending on the parcel in any given vintage. After fermentation the Chardonnay in the barrels are left on the lees and batonage is done every week for 7-8 months. After 9 months the Chardonnay is blended and prepared for bottling.

Assyrtiko
The Diamantopetra Vidiano/Assyrtiko is a bright, pale yellow in the glass. The aroma is elegant with flavours of pineapple, apricot and chamomile which are combined elaborately with vanilla, nuts and oak. In the mouth, full bodied with crisp acidity that integrates nicely allowing the fruit to be properly expressed. The finish is long as leaving you a wonderful aftertaste with apricot and vanilla hints.
