Description
The Iris Malbec from Bodegas Staphyle is one of our bestselling wines and is consistently rated very highly by critics. There’s a wonderful fruit character, dominated by cherries and blueberries, that is backed up by hints of violets and peppery spice. The palate is rounded and juicy, with silky tannins and an almost dangerously drinkable edge!
Bodega Staphyle was born in 2002 and is the realisation of the Porretta’s family dream to produce their own wines from. Today this boutique winery marries that tradition with the latest in wine making technology to produce harmonious wines that offer terrific value for money.

2020 Chateau Saransot Dupre, Cru Bourgeois Superieurlistrac
Bordeaux Blend
Chateau Saransot-Dupre is a favourably sited 17 hectares property that lies between Fourcas Dupré and Fourcas Hosten in Listrac. Due to Listrac’s cooler temperatures, Merlot and Cabernet Franc are favoured over Cabernet Sauvignon to form the majority of the blend, helping them achieve optimum ripeness. Much like Chateau Fourcas Hosten, the wines have improved year on year since 2010 and the property were put on the radar thanks to a certain Robert Parker hailing the 2010 vintage as 'classed growth quality'. High praise indeed!
