Description

The Scylla California Red Blend is made with fruit sourced from cool climate, old vine vineyards near Lodi, many of which are family owned and over 100 years old.  78% Carignan with 15% Grenache and 7% Mouvedre, fermented with natural yeasts and pressed into old barrels which give texture rather than prominent oaky characters.  The wine is then bottled unfined and unfiltered.

Wonderfully more’ish with bright, juicy red fruits and a lovely perfume. The palate is rounded and fresh, yet has more serious, savoury, earthy undertones.  Hugely enjoyable.

Rhone Blend

This relatively young family owned Domaine was created in 2001 by vignerons with 4 generations of vinegrowing and winemaking expertise under their belts.  They own some seriously old vines in superb sites in the Southern Rhone on a mixture of soils of red sand, clay and the classic 'Galet' pebbles associated with Chateauneuf du Pape.  As a result, their wines posess a wonderful depth and concentration.

Bordeaux Blend

The 2011 vintage had a hard act to follow coming after two exceptional years in Bordeaux and whilst the wines aren't as showy as the '09's and '10's they are charming and drinking beautifully with a decade in bottle.
