Description

The Chateau Fleur de Lisse is a blend of 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc grown on rocky limestone soils which adds some beautiful freshness to their wines.  The property is now owned by the Teycheney family who are passionate about organic and biodynamic farming and owns a high proportion of old vines.

The wine is plush and clearly Merlot dominant on the nose with a wealth of cherries, plums and red fruits.  The generous palate is smooth and rounded with terrific balance of fruit, freshness and toasty oak.

2020 Chateau Saransot-Dupre, Listrac Medoc, Magnum

Bordeaux Blend

Chateau Saransot-Dupre is a favourably sited 17 hectares property that lies between Fourcas Dupré and Fourcas Hosten in Listrac.  Due to Listrac’s cooler temperatures, Merlot and Cabernet Franc are favoured over Cabernet Sauvignon to form the majority of the blend, helping them achieve optimum ripeness.  Much like Chateau Fourcas Hosten, the wines have improved year on year since 2010 and the property were put on the radar thanks to a certain Robert Parker hailing the 2010 vintage as 'classed growth quality'.  High praise indeed!

Bordeaux Blend

Chateau Angludet is one of the oldest properties in the Medoc and is owned by the Sichel family, 6th generation Bordeaux Negociants and part owners of Chateau Palmer.  The wines from Angludet come from vineyards which are all classified as Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel and are consistently excellent.  The superb 2010 comes hot on the heels of the terrific 2009 and although expressive and open now, it will continue to develop very nicely.
