Description
This vintage of Pas De Nom Rouge from Beau Constantia has a wonderful rounded and bright fruit character packed with cherry and plum characters. Typically more’ish with the softness of the Merlot fruit given some structure and oomph from the Syrah (Shiraz) and Cabernet.
Beau Constantia is a boutique wine farm situated at the top of Constantia Nek overlooking False Bay. Vines are planted to an elevation of 350 metres above sea-level on some of the steepest agricultural slopes in the Cape. These lovingly nurtured vines are spoilt with panoramic views of the Stellenbosch and Helderberg Mountain ranges and over False Bay as far as Hangklip.
The Pas De Nom Range of wines are a tribute to Japie Bronn, the first farm manager of Beau Constantia, who dedicated his life to the establishment of our vineyards and wine. This salt-of-the-earth wine grower developed vineyards around Constantia and Cape Point for just over 35 years. He is a legend in the wine industry. For the 2018 vintage of the Pas De Nom Red, the grapes were hand-picked; then batch fermented and matured in second- and third fill 225L French oak barels for 13 months prior to bottling.
Merlot (44%), Shiraz (28%), Petit Verdot (18%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (10%)

2020 Chateau Saransot-Dupre, Listrac Medoc, Magnum
Bordeaux Blend
Chateau Saransot-Dupre is a favourably sited 17 hectares property that lies between Fourcas Dupré and Fourcas Hosten in Listrac. Due to Listrac’s cooler temperatures, Merlot and Cabernet Franc are favoured over Cabernet Sauvignon to form the majority of the blend, helping them achieve optimum ripeness. Much like Chateau Fourcas Hosten, the wines have improved year on year since 2010 and the property were put on the radar thanks to a certain Robert Parker hailing the 2010 vintage as 'classed growth quality'. High praise indeed!

Rhone Blend
This relatively young family owned Domaine was created in 2001 by vignerons with 4 generations of vinegrowing and winemaking expertise under their belts. They own some seriously old vines in superb sites in the Southern Rhone on a mixture of soils of red sand, clay and the classic 'Galet' pebbles associated with Chateauneuf du Pape. As a result, their wines posess a wonderful depth and concentration.
