Description

The Setteporte Etna Rosso has an intense ruby red colour with a pleasantly fruity bouquet layered with red fruit and wild berries underpinned by a distinct minerality. The finish is dry, finely balanced, elegant and persistent.

Masseria Setteporte is located in a unique spot on the south-western slope of Etna, in the town of Biancavilla.  Viticulture here dates back to ancient times, with Portale family, owners of Masseria Setteporte, passing their winemaking tradition down through generations

Due to the volcanic soil, the high altitudes and the typical Mediterranean climate, the wines produced on the southern slope of Etna posess a distinct elegance and with inviting aromas coupled with superb drinkability.

95% Nerello Mascalese with approximately 5% Nerello Cappuccio.

Cabernet Sauvignon

The Cabernet/Shiraz from Hartenberg has a lovely vivid purple/red colour, with ripe berry fruits on the nose and hints of forest floor entwined with sweet spice. The palate reveals plenty of vibrant red fruit courtesy of the Cabernet Sauvignon alongside typical black pepper spice from the Shiraz.  There's plenty of juicy, crunchy fruit, soft gentle tannins and a velvety, elegant finish.

2020 Cabernet Franc Seleccion, Bodegas Rio Del Elorza, Mendoza

Cabernet Franc

The Verum Cabernet Franc Seleccion, Bodegas Rio Del Elorza has classic elements on the nose including wild strawberry, blackberry, pencil shavings and a hint of blackcurrant leaf.  Lovely ripe fruits with a hint of stalky/vegetal character but not too much greenness, instead offering more body and depth of fruit and a slight touch of herbal mint. The full-bodied palate is elegant with firm tannins but a vital balancing acidity. Cedar notes show from the use of French oak and the finish is dominated by bright red fruit and mocha spice.
