Description

The wonderful Valpolicella Classico Superiore ‘Maghi’ is part of the ‘Gold Label’ range from Ca dei Maghi, representing the finest wines of this remarkable property.  This ethereal red wine from Veneto is a blend of Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Molinara grapes that are dried for 30 – 40 days following harvest (appassimento), dehydrating the grapes and concentrating the flavours.  The wine is then aged for 36 months in large casks promoting roundness and texture.  The wine shows a wealth of silky red fruits and strawberry compote with hints of raisined undertones and a perfect balance of power and freshness.

Ca Dei Maghi is a wonderful family owned estate that is going from strength to strength under the current custodian.  This small farm produces wines which embody the very essence of Valpolicella.
