Description

The Chateau de Pasquette St. Emilion Grand Cru comes from vines with an average age of 35 years that are farmed sustainably on predominantly sandy and silty/clay soils.  The wine is a blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc that is mostly vinified in stainless steel and spends 18 months in barrel.  This is wonderfully approachable with lots of easy going redcurrant fruit, hints of mocha and well-integrated vanilla.  The tannins are silky and fine giving an elegant mouthfeel and hugely enjoyable, not to mention, affordable Grand Cru St. Emilion.

2022 Promis Ca Marcanda, Gaja, IGT Toscana

Merlot

The Ca Marcanda Promis is a complex wine with an undeniable elegance. The nose is rich and concentrated, with blueberry, liquorice and cocoa hints. It starts fresh and then develops balsamic notes and scents of graphite, before becoming more mellow in character with a rhubarb and menthol note. The palate is voluminous with fine-grained and silky tannins on the finish.

2018 Brunello di Montalcino Pieve Santa Restituta, Gaja, DOCG

Sangiovese

Gaja's Brunello di Montalcino shows notes of juniper berries, liquorice and sweet wood on the nose. It has a very clear expression of sweet and ripe fruit, opening on the palate, with notes of spice and earthy aromatic herbs. This wine has remarkable texture, mouth-filling fruit and a very good length.
