Description
The Kishegy Furmint from Lenkey Pinceszet is made from rigorously selected grapes, a mere 6 to 8 bunches per vine, and is produced in tiny quantities. The must is fermented naturally and spends 7 months in Hungarian oak barrels and another 9 years in bottle prior to release! This ultra-rare white is produced in tiny quantities and comes from a vineyard more suited to producing sweet wines, and Aszu in the best years.
Exotic and complex with nutmeg, clove and oriental spice mingling with a developed petrolly character kept fresh with citrus and apple fruit and refreshing, almost tonic like acidity. This is a fascinating white that has stood the test of time.
