Chardonnay

Superb value, the Scheid District 7 Chardonnay comes from a vineyard at Greenfeld where the morning fog lingers to protect the vines from the heat of the sun. The aromas are fresh and extroverted with notes of yellow apple, pear and citrus, enhanced by hints of coconut, vanilla and toasty oak. The medium-bodied palate is soft and balanced with bright fruit, hints of butter and a lingering subtle oak finish.

The Goldmine White is the long awaited partner to The Chocolate Block, Boekenhoutskloof iconic red wine.  The blend of Swartland Chenin along with Chardonnay, Semillon and Viognier from other regions in the Cape fermented in a mixture of french oak, concrete eggs and clay amphora.  This lovely, textured white shows plenty of stony/savoury notes with herbal aromas and rich yet clean pear and citrus fruit.

2024 Rioja Blanco Fermentado en Barrica, Martinez Lacuesta

The Rioja Blanco Fermentado en Barrica from the amazing Bodegas Martinez Lacuesta is a pale greenish yellow colour with a touch of toasted oak over mellow fresh fruit on the nose. In the mouth, it is initially fresh, with the well integrated oak building in prominence in the mid-palate. The floral fruit character carries through to the well-balanced finish.

The De Bortoli Accomplice Chardonnay is a light straw colour with lifted aromas of ripe peach and nectarine complemented with a decent lick of vanilla oak. The palate is soft and creamy and exhibits ripe stone fruits. Integrated oak and a gentle acid nuance for a very long finish.

Viognier

The Wolftrap White has a nose that is bold, intense, and rich with stone fruit aromas of peach, nectarine and yellow plum as well as gentle whiffs of angelica, spice, and fresh ginger. The palate is focused and balanced, with yellow apple flavours, honeydew melon, papaya, poached pear and hints of dragon fruit and lime adding to its complexity.  Medium-bodied, elegant, and vibrant with zesty yet integrated acidity, this cracking value white is clean and dry on the mid-palate, with notes of crisp green apple and tangerine lingering on a refreshing finish.

Aged primarily in wood, Dow’s Fine White is a rich golden colour and presents intense complex and rich nutty aromas. A certain amount of wine is not wood aged and is blended in to add freshness and fruit character. On the palate, balanced and smooth, with excellent acidity and a long finish.

Douro Blend

Made from wines which are between 3 and 5 years old, the Niepoortland White Rabbit isn't bone dry and therefore very versatile as an aperitif on it's own or mixed with tonic for a longer drink.  White Golden brown in colour with a delightful aroma of nuts and almonds which follows through on the palate with a fresh concentrated spirity finish.
