Description

The Langham Perpetual Cuvee marks a milestone in the development of one of the country’s leading wine estates.  This multi-vintage blend is made from a selection the finest parcels of Chardonnay from the 2017, 2018 and 2019 vintages that have been expertly blended and aged for four years on lees.

Taking inspiration from the finest Grower Champagnes, Langham have started a perpetual solera in ‘Judy’, their 2000 litre Slavonian oak foudre.  Only the finest parcels of Chardonnay will make the grade for future releases of the Perpetual Cuvee and we are extreely excited to see how the wines develop in years to come.

The Perpetual First Edition is deep and nuanced, with honeyed apricots, fromage frais & clementines on the nose, leading to a more savoury character. Full and heady with notes of hawthorn and caramelised butternut squash. A little time in the glass allows the wine to fully open up and show floral complexity and honeysuckle. After a few more minutes in the glass, a faint lapsang souchong smokiness emerges, as well as elegant geranium.

On the palate, driving acidity stands up in the mouth, shouldering Meyer lemon and caramel. Warming stem ginger, umami and sea salt envelop the taste buds; blackcurrant leaf brings herbaceous freshness. Toasted walnut skin bitterness merges with delicate wood smoke and a sweetly aromatic myrrh quality that endures with length.

The Langham Perpetual Cuvee is the first wine to ever be awarded 99 points by Wine GB and picked up the Supreme Champion Trophy at the 2025 Awards.  Only 650 bottles were made.

Gamay

The Turbullent Rose is a deliciously light, refreshing and pretty rose made in the Methode Ancestrale way (not quite a Pet Nat).  With fresh raspberry and red fruits, crisp acidity and a melt in the mouth palate, this is a delightful wine made with the local Gamay Saint Romain variety in the southernmost AC in the Loire.

Chardonnay

Germar Breton are a relatively young Champagne House that started in 2005.  Based in the southerly Aube region, they make approachable, terrific value wines solely from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, eschewing the use of Pinot Meunier as they believe that it brings a harshness ot the final wine.

NV Blanc de Blancs ‘La Signa-Terres’, Champagne Paul Lebrun

Chardonnay

The La Signa-Terres from Paul Lebrun shows an incredible butter-like creaminess alongside orchard fruits, citrus and almond aromas. Toasty, but with a soft palate thanks to the mild dosage and a creamy petillance which doesn't overpower the delicate texture and freshness. The finish is lengthy with hints of toast, zest and salted almonds.
