Description

Brian Ellison must run one of the hardest to find micro-distilleries in the US, on Washington Island, Door County in Wisconsin. As any one who has watched the Green Bay Packers play in the winter, it gets very cold out here on Lake Michigan!

Brian takes local organic Hard Red Winter Wheat and makes his own mash to distill in a 90-gallon copper still. Triple distilled and using only three botanicals; juniper, coriander and fennel, Death’s Door Gin is fresh new entry in the micro-gin category.

Color – Clear.  Nose – Each botanical is distinctly present, from the initial hit of wild juniper to the coriander and fennel.  Taste – Crisp and bright; aromatic juniper at first, then sweet citrus, and earthy pepper notes at the end.  Finish – Long and smooth.
