Description
The Wolftrap Red is a blend of Syrah and Mouvedre with just a dash of Viognier. This opulent red is always great value, giving lots of ripe dark fruits mingled with touches of cardamon, clove and black pepper spice. Perfumed bramble, blackberry and liquorice flavours intertwine with a more savoury edge on the silky palate. Well-balanced with whiffs of oak on the finish make for a hugely enjoyable wine.
The Wolftrap is a tribute to the pioneers who in the early days ventured into the Cape wilderness and erected a wolf trap on Boekenhoutskloof. To date no wolf, either real or mystical, has been seen in the valley.
