Description
The Age of Grace Viognier is a beautifully balanced, barrel fermented white wine from the cool climate vineyards of the Cape South Coast. Gentle, whole bunch pressing and slow extraction helps maintain the character and quality of the juice. The wine is settled for 48 hours before 70% being racked into seasoned 225 litre French Oak barrels, the remainder into concrete egg for fermentation and ageing 10 months.
This is quite remarkable, perfumed and exotic notes of honeysuckle and orange blossom mingle with kiwi and stone fruits on the nose. The textured, silky palate lets the brightness of fruit shine through but never lets you forget the impeccably integrated oak element to this wine. Lifted and poised, this fabulous wine is drinking beautfully now but will continue to develop for several years from vintage.

Indigenous yeasts are used for fermentation and the wine spends 12 months in barrel before being blended and bottled. Great persistence in the mouth, this wine has a wonderful freshness to it and can be enjoyed in it's youth.
