This amiable red is made from grapes sourced from vines that are over 30 years old, giving an enticing red wine that is packed with classic blackcurrant fruit with eucalyptus notes mingling with cinnamon spice and gentle oak. The grapes for this wine are hand harvested from 2 parcels in the heart of Mercurey where the soil is clay and limestone. They spend 10-15 days fermenting in the tank before being put into French oak barrels, 30% of which are new. The wine then spends 12 months in barrel before being blended and bottled.
