The 2021 Two Rivers Convergence Sauvignon Blanc has explosive aromatics of passionfruit, white peach and lime juice that mingle with subtle notes of caper berries and flint. Dry and saline, the distinctive palate has a gravelly texture and a ripe, pure finish.
David Clouston has produced a terrific Sauvignon that manages to capture the essence of Marlborough without going too overboard on the “cats pee”and Gooseberry characters so often found in wines from here. The wine is partially aged on its lees in oak for a short period (3 months) which adds some depth and complexity.
