Chateau Grand Village is the original Bordeaux home of the Guinaudeau family, better known as the producers of Château Lafleur in Pomerol. The same team and equal level of detailed attention are dedicated to winemaking in this château in Fronsac on the Right Bank. This terrific Merlot/Cabernet Franc blend over delivers on the humble Bordeaux Superieur status and are considered by some to be the most exciting wine of the Apellation. This relatively young family owned Domaine was created in 2001 by vignerons with 4 generations of vinegrowing and winemaking expertise under their belts. They own some seriously old vines in superb sites in the Southern Rhone on a mixture of soils of red sand, clay and the classic 'Galet' pebbles associated with Chateauneuf du Pape. As a result, their wines posess a wonderful depth and concentration.
