Description

The Big Fine Girl Riesling by Jeanneret is a pale yellow colour with flecks of green. The beautifully generous nose shows apple, apricot, lychee and pear with the palate following suit with masses of beautifully fresh, vibrant and zingy fruit; notably apples, lemons and blackcurrants at their mouth-watering best.  Gorgeous to drink on its own but with a weight of fruit that makes it an excellent match for food.

Jeanneret Wines was established in 1992 by the Jeanneret family who were led heart first into the regions’ vineyards. A passion for making wines purely for their own enjoyment has organically expanded into a business and the Jeanneret cellar door was opened in October 1994.

The Riesling Feinherb fromWeingut Thorle is a beautifully poised off-dry style of Riesling with a bright yellow colour. The bouquet offers up scents of peaches and apples, limestone and a touch of wild yeasts.  On the palate the wine is medium-bodied with fine intensity of flavour, bright acidity, nice focus and a complex finish.

2021 Puligny Montrachet, Domaine Meunier

Chardonnay

The grapes for this approachable Puligny are hand harvested and undergo a gentle pressing.  The juice is then left to settle for a few days then put into French oak barrels, 30% of which are new. Indigenous yeasts are used for fermentation and the wine spends 12 months in barrel before being blended and bottled.  Great persistence in the mouth, this wine has a wonderful freshness to it and can be enjoyed in it's youth.
