Description
The grapes for the Verum Chardonnay are cool fermented for 15 days, 10% in American Oak and the remainder in stainless steel, before undergoing a further 6 month period in tank prior to bottling. The nose has subtle toast and vanilla with lovely integrated tropical fruit characters. On the palate the wine exhibits richness but also depth and balance. The diligent use of oak supports rather than dominates the stone and orchard fruit, with the refreshing acidity complimenting the cool climate style. In a nutshell, extremely enjoyable!
Patagonia is Argentina’s most southerly wine region and for wine makers it offers a cooler climate, numerous hours of sun and abundant water.
