The palate is well-rounded with complex fruit and well-integrated oak from 12 months in brand new 225 litre oak barrels. The finish is long and silky, balancing power and elegance perfectly.
Bodega Staphyle was born in 2002 and is the realisation of the Porretta’s family dream to produce their own wines from. Today this boutique winery marries that tradition with the latest in wine making technology to produce harmonious wines that offer terrific value for money.

This 100% Gamay from Domaine Moulin Camus comes from grapes grown on a slope of pure mica schist which gives the wine juicy, rounded red fruits a bit of tautness and minerality. A warmer than normal, sulphur free maceration for three days helps bring out some warmth and roundness to the fruit, making it slightly beaujolais'esque but without the bubble gum/commercial edge that one would normally find in this price range.
