Description
The Casa Las Monjas from Clos de Lom is made from 60 year old Monastrell (Mouvedre) vines grown organically in the mountains south east of Valencia. This delicious wine has a great depth and spiciness making it at once immediately appealing, yet capable of ageing further in bottle. Packed with dark fruits, hints of chocolate and spice mingling with herbal notes, this is the maiden release of this very limited wine. The wine was fermented in stainless steel, following a cold maceration for 10 – 15 days, and was then transferred to French oak barrels for 2 years. The wine rested for a further year in bottle prior to release.
