Lively, ruby-red in colour, this wine has a fruity nose with prevailing aromas of red and black fruits. The palate is supple and rich. There’s enough acidity and freshness to make this a good match to cooked pork dishes and white meats in general as well as roasts and a simple cheeseboard. Delicious when chilled down a few degrees below room temperature
Located in Restigné, in the heart of the Bourgueil appellation, Domaine des Mailloches is an old vineyard dating back over 100 years. Several generations of winemakers have followed and today Samuel Demont and his family continue to farm 16 hectares of Cabernet Franc. The sustainably grown vines are planted on a mixture of sandy soil, gravel and clay/limestone, each adding complexity to ther resultant wines.

Chateau Saransot-Dupre is a favourably sited 17 hectares property that lies between Fourcas Dupré and Fourcas Hosten in Listrac. The Cabernet/Shiraz from Hartenberg has a lovely vivid purple/red colour, with ripe berry fruits on the nose and hints of forest floor entwined with sweet spice. The palate reveals plenty of vibrant red fruit courtesy of the Cabernet Sauvignon alongside typical black pepper spice from the Shiraz. There's plenty of juicy, crunchy fruit, soft gentle tannins and a velvety, elegant finish.
