The SRS Wilyabrup Cabernet Sauvignon from Flametree is medium to full bodied in structure with a powerful palate and fine grained tannins. The nose is dis-playing berry with dark chocolate undertones. The palate also displays ele-gance and freshness, with a beautiful balance of fruit and oak flavours, the result of 14 months oak maturation.
Flametree Wines is located on the picturesque shores of Geographe Bay in Western Australia, entry point to the renowned Margaret River wine region. The Towner family built their state of the art winery in 2007 which helps demonstrate the Company’s unwavering commitment to excellence. Chateau Saransot-Dupre is a favourably sited 17 hectares property that lies between Fourcas Dupré and Fourcas Hosten in Listrac. Due to Listrac’s cooler temperatures, Merlot and Cabernet Franc are favoured over Cabernet Sauvignon to form the majority of the blend, helping them achieve optimum ripeness. Much like Chateau Fourcas Hosten, the wines have improved year on year since 2010 and the property were put on the radar thanks to a certain Robert Parker hailing the 2010 vintage as 'classed growth quality'. High praise indeed!

The Un Bon Canon Cotes du Rhone hits the spot every time with it's fruit forward blend of 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 5% Cinsault and 5% Mouvedre which is fermented in concrete tanks. The vineyards lie in the southern part of the region on a dried up river bed strewn with heat retaining pebbles. The hot summer sun ensures that the wine is bold and fruity with raspberry and dark fruits and hints of garrigue/herbal undergrowth.

This 100% Gamay from Domaine Moulin Camus comes from grapes grown on a slope of pure mica schist which gives the wine juicy, rounded red fruits a bit of tautness and minerality. A warmer than normal, sulphur free maceration for three days helps bring out some warmth and roundness to the fruit, making it slightly beaujolais'esque but without the bubble gum/commercial edge that one would normally find in this price range.
