Description

Domaine La Loyane only dates from 2001 but the family have been vignerons in the Rhône for four generations and have some lovely old vineyards and vines at their disposal.  In conversion to organic status, the wines from Loyane posess great depth and concentration without being over the top. 


This is a blend of 70% Clairette and 30% Grenache Blanc, hand-harvested grapes from 80 year old vines is fermented in old casks with a further 6 months ageing on lees in large demi-muid barrels.  Textured and rich with nutty undertones and balanced acidity.

The Barbadillo Palomino Castillo de San Diego is crisp, fresh and unfortified!  This dry, refreshing white is a great example of the Sherry regions principle grape variety.  The wine is perfect spring/summer quaffing and a great stepping stone to appreciating the more complex, fortified and solera aged versions from DO Jerez.
