Description
The Mencia ‘Silk’ from Bodegas Adria in Bierzo is an intense garnet colour in the core with youthful purple edges. Interesting and complex on the nose with red fruits together with balsamic touches and aromas vanilla. There’s a lovely balance of fruit, acidity and gentle tannins on the finish.
The winery perches in a privileged position overlooking the steep valleys of the Bierzo, in Galicia. Bodegas Adriá is one of several wineries that have renewed the tradition of winemaking activity in the region, balancing both tradition and innovation.

2020 Chateau Saransot-Dupre, Listrac Medoc, Magnum
Bordeaux Blend
Chateau Saransot-Dupre is a favourably sited 17 hectares property that lies between Fourcas Dupré and Fourcas Hosten in Listrac. Due to Listrac’s cooler temperatures, Merlot and Cabernet Franc are favoured over Cabernet Sauvignon to form the majority of the blend, helping them achieve optimum ripeness. Much like Chateau Fourcas Hosten, the wines have improved year on year since 2010 and the property were put on the radar thanks to a certain Robert Parker hailing the 2010 vintage as 'classed growth quality'. High praise indeed!
