Les Charmes de Kirwan is the second wine of 3rd Growth Château Margaux and, like it’s more grown up sybling, has benefitted from the massive investment program in both the winery and the vineyard in recent years. It is generally made with the younger vines on the property but receives exactly the same care and attention as the wine.
The 2016 could well be the greatest vintage of Les Charmes ever made, it is brimming with silky and concentrated ripe cassis and cherry fruit, powerful yet with a distinct elegance and freshness. This is serious stuff and has the potential to age for a decade or more despite it being so attractive in it’s youth.

Chateau Saransot-Dupre is a favourably sited 17 hectares property that lies between Fourcas Dupré and Fourcas Hosten in Listrac. This wine shows intense cherry red colours and has aromas of mature red fruits with spices such as vanilla, cinnamon and a touch of black pepper. On the palate it is a soft yet structured wine, open, balanced and warming.
