The expressive wines of Matawhero in Gisborne are dry farmed and produced by a passionate team whose love of wine, and the land in which their grapes are grown, is evident in every bottle.  This subtle and elegant Sauvignon has the kiwi hallmarks of herbaceous tropical fruit and passion fruit with beautifully balanced acidity and some decent weight.  The finish is fresh, balanced and long, giving a more restrained style than the Sauvignons that come from Marlborough.

Packed with citrus and slight tropical fruit notes, this zippy Vinho Verde is a very slightly spritzy giving a little added perk to the vibrant mouthfeel.  (Please note that the cork and wire closure is more for show than keeping bubbles in - this is only slightly spritzy as opposed to fully sparkling).
