Description

Dolin have been making Vermouth’s since the 1820’s and although this style of fortified wine fell out of fashion, it is very much back in vogue.  Dolin is somewhat a darling of bartenders and is noted for it’s complexity and quality by using over 30 herbs and spices in the maceration.

2019 Vintage Port, Niepoort, Douro Valley

Douro Blend

The 2019 Niepoort Vintage Port has a brilliant appearance with a dark purple rim and concentrated depth of colour. The aroma is fine and subdued with only a hint of primary dark fruits and some spice. The true potential and style of this wine really comes together on the palate with wonderful integration of dark fruits with a grainy tannic structure, pairing volume with amazing balance and elegance and an impressive finish. In conclusion, the primary fruit on the palate is appealing at this stage, but it’s the balanced tannic structure which indicates great ageing potential for the future.

Vermut Blanco , Martinez Lacuesta, Haro

The Vermut Blanco by Martinez Lacuesta is a pale yellow colour. The nose shows soft flower aromas (chamomile or mint) with some vanilla sweetness. The palate is smooth, with a very nice step of liquorice, cinnamon and ginger until reaching the end all its aromatic expressiveness characterized by the bitterness.
