Description
Great value Pinot Noir isn’t usually associated with California so we were over the moon to discover this beauty from Pavette in Napa. This is a wonderfully easy drinking Pinot with ripe red cranberry, raspberry and cherry fruits, a touch of smokiness and lovely creamy texture. Ageing takes place in a mixture of stainless steel (80%) and French oak (20%) for 10 months prior to bottling.
This is a must try for those who like their Pinot Noir on the gluggable side!

The Gonzo Combat Rouge is a rather unusual field blend of Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc and Viognier which are co-fermented with whole bunch fermentation. The results is a beautifully supple yet plush and ripe red wine with sweet, spicy raspberry and cherry fruit. We've found it drinks best slightly chilled on a warm evening.

The vineyards lie in the southern part of the region on a dried up river bed strewn with heat retaining pebbles. The hot summer sun ensures that the wine is bold and fruity with raspberry and dark fruits and hints of garrigue/herbal undergrowth.
