Description
The fabulous Qupe Syrah is a wonderfully expressive wine showing a gorgeous purple colour in the glass. The inviting nose balances sweet blackberry, raspberry and cherry cola with more savoury, leather notes. The fruit flavours on the nose carry through to a luch palate that is juicy and fresh with spicy notes and a superbly balanced finish. The wine spends 16 months in Burgundy barrels, 15% of which are new. This is a very appealing red that is especially good for Autumn drinking and to accompany game dishes.
Qupe are an organic and sustainable winery in the Northern Paso Robles area of California. Their wines are expressive, characterful and downright delicious!

2020 Morgon Les Charmes, Chateau Grange Cochard
Gamay
Château Grange Cochard lies in the heart of the Morgon Appelation on granitic, shaly slopes and has been crafting classic wines from their superbly sited vineyards since the 18th Century. The 'Les Charmes' is one of the favoured 'lieu-dits' of Morgon and winemaking is traditional, with hand harvested fruit fermented carefully in the semi-carbonic maceration method with half being whole bunches and half de-stemmed fruit. Maturation is in a mixture of vat and cask and sulphur addition low.
