Description
The Hoopes Vineyard Napa Valley Cabernet is a wonderfully polished, silky and expressive red wine. It opens beautifully with an enticing nose of sweet dark fruits and underlying notes of licourice and nutmeg spice. The palate is rounded and generous with more silky dark fruits, plum and cherry with herbal notes and beautifully integrated oak. The long finish is silky smooth with finely balanced acidity and freshness and some savoury notes.
Hoopes have several vineyard plots scattered in the various sub-regions of Napa and this food friendly Cabernet comes from a mixture of sites. Tasting at Hoopes is a special experience and we can heartily recommend it. The Oasis at Hoopes houses a market garden and also an animal rescue centre housing a variety of pigs, chickens and donkeys (amongst others) that were displaced by the wildfires in 2017, and subsequent fires since.
